Authentication & Account Data:

• Email address and Google Sign-In credentials.
• Account creation date and profile updates.

Communication Data:

• Direct messages with matched founders.
• Swipe history (likes, passes, superlikes).

Device & Usage Data:

• IP address, browser type, device type.
• Pages visited, time spent, interactions.
• Cookies and analytics pixels.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Core Services: To create your profile, show you potential cofounders, facilitate matches and messaging.
• Improvements: To understand how you use MeetXBuild and optimize the platform.
• Communication: To send transactional emails (matches, messages, account alerts).
• Safety & Compliance: To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal requirements.
• Marketing (optional): With your consent, to send updates about new features or events.

4. Visa Status & Sensitive Data

If you choose to share your visa status (H-1B, F-1 OPT, etc.) on your profile:

• It is visible only to other founders on the Platform.
• We do not use it for discriminatory purposes.
• You can update or hide this information at any time.
• We do not share it with third parties (including immigration authorities) unless legally required.

5. Data Storage & Security

We use Firebase (Google Cloud) for secure data storage, authentication, and image hosting. We implement:

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
• Encrypted data storage.
• Role-based access controls.
• Regular security audits.

However, no online platform is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

6. Who We Share Data With

We do NOT sell your data. We share information only:

• With other founders: Your profile (name, photo, skills, interests) is visible to matched founders for collaboration.
• With Firebase / Google: For authentication and hosting (see Google's Privacy Policy).
• With legal authorities: If required by law or court order.
